Two of my current research interests are bootstrap and string field theory. Bootstrap is an idea that imposing consistency conditions on physical observables may lead to strong results on them. I have been studying how to apply the bootstrap approach to setups such as conformal field theories and classical dynamical systems. String field theory is a field-theoretic framework for string theory, whose formal and practical aspects are still being uncovered. Its formal structure manifests such elegant features of string theory as open-closed duality, and its practical power makes computation of physical quantities possible and unambiguous.
