Bio/Description

My research is at the intersection of biological and soft condensed matter physics, broadly defined. I am often interested in coarsegrained theories that leverage minimal "microscopic" assumptions, and yet provide experimentally testable predictions. Frequent themes in my research include applications of hydrodynamics, solid mechanics, and dynamical systems theory. You can also find me in the Center for the Physics of Biological Function.
