Bio/Description

I am a statistical physicist interested in the thermodynamics and kinetics of living, soft, and driven materials. I work to extend the laws of classical thermodynamics to systems that are out of equilibrium. I am routinely using theoretical tools from stochastic processes, information theory, and statistical field theory. My recent projects include relations between entropy and kinetics in nonequilibrium steady states; estimation of temperature, entropy, and entropy production of driven matter from experimental measurements; peculiar transport properties of single-file diffusion; and synchronization of nonlinear oscillators.
