My research focuses on dualities in quantum field theories, and their consequences for the dynamics of strongly interacting theories.  These dualities (S-duality, Seiberg duality,…) are quantum and supersymmetric analogues of the (classical) electric-magnetic duality of Maxwell's equations. I study them in particular through their action on extended operators such as Wilson loop operators.  An important step is to understand how different constructions of extended operators are related, as this paves the way to a classification of such operators.
