I study topological phases of matter. It is an exciting time for this field because many of these phases are being realized experimentally. I am interested in the classification, experimental probes, and material realizations of topological insulators and semi-metals. I am also interested in the bulk-boundary correspondence. I have studied strongly correlated systems (quantum Hall effect), as well as non-interacting topological band structures.
