I study topological phases of matter. It is an exciting time for this field because many of these phases are being realized experimentally. I am interested in material realizations and experimental probes of topological phases. On the abstract side, I am interested in characterizing topological systems and understanding their bulk-boundary correspondence. In many cases, the boundary physics offers a window into the bulk and is easier to probe.
